When looking at the swing from a ‘Face on’ camera angle the main fault in the swing is the amount of release used on the downswing, when the hands are meeting the waist line what you will see is a very fast amount of wrist release. The points below will explain the problems created.
- The club will be too shallow causing the clubhead to hit the ground before the ball
- The strike will tend to come slightly out the bottom of the face
- Shots may start on target but finish left (Hook)
A fix for this would be to work on holding the wrist angle until as late as possible, this will help you release the club later meaning a more centred strike and also allow the clubhead to stay on its intended swing path. Very good swing sequence, well done
